STARS & STRIPES US-56:
Reportedly
sold to some Atlantic City casino operators, US-56 became available in August,
1995. We visited the owner in San Diego, made a thorough inspection of the
boat and negotiated its acquisition. It was planned to move ’56 to
St.Maarten immediately to refurbish it and have it ready for the 95-96 season.
Two weeks later hurricane Luis changed all those plans. Priority was given
to salvaging the other four boats, rebuilding our premises and getting back
into business. STARS & STRIPES US-56 joined the fleet
in St.Maarten in January 1996.
